Executive order no. 2020-050, amending section 3 of executive order 2020-048 lifting of moratorium on tourism-related travel to Sipalay City started on November 6,2020:

As the accommodation establishment in Sipalay City start to accept non-resident tourists for overnight or multiple-night accommodation, guests shall comply and follow the requirements set by the City government:


  1. Checked-in guests shall only allowed STAYCATION tourism activity.

  2. Checked-in guests are NOT allowed to transfer to different accommodation establishment.

  3. Checked-in guests are NOT allowed to leave the premises for activities such as but not limited to:

    a. Travel to the City for purchases

    b. City tours

    c. Other resort hopping

    e. Group outdoor sports, and

    f. Team building activities


Activities recently allowed:

  1. Island Hopping - Strictly 8 persons maximum arranged through the resort

  2. Snorkeling (guest must bring their own googles and masks / no sharing)

  3. Kayaking / Stand-up Paddle

  4. Group activities (only within group)

  5. Boat transportation only per group (no mixing guests)

  6. Guest can visit the city or market on the last day of their stay (before exiting Sipalay)

Non compliance of this EO shall automatically reported to the City IATF and City Tourism of Sipalay for further action as appropriate.

Big Bamboo Beach Resort is not liable for any non-compliance to the EO  caused by the guest
